Eugenie Moreau, the wife of Etienne Carriau, was the daughter of Laurent Moreau and Denise LeRoy. She was born c 1831 and died 30 Dec 1898.
Her father, Laurent Moreau, was born in St. Domingue c. 1795 and died 4 Nov 1884, in New Orleans, the son of Madeleine Boré (1767-7 Mar 1833). No information is available about his father.
The Moreau and Mauraux names existed in St. Domingue as early as the census of 1692.
